Resilience Tools for Teachers

Biological Wellness: Regular movement and exercise, a balanced diet, adequate sleep, and mindful breathing build resilience by keeping the body energized and calm for the classroom and beyond.

Psychological Wellness: Mindfulness, stress management, and mental health support strengthen teachers' resilience by promoting a positive mindset and effective coping skills.

Social Wellness: Strong relationships with family, friends, community, and parents/caregivers foster resilience by providing connection and a sense of belonging.

Meaning & Purpose: Finding purpose in the beautiful but difficult work of teaching strengthens resilience by giving daily efforts and even routine and burdensome tasks deeper significance.

Wellness Lounge: Staff can center and refresh themselves in a calming space, allowing them to better support and buoy their learners when they go back to class.
