Who We Are

AFMC is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, with an additional office in Fort Smith. We are dedicated to working with the community and leaders in all settings to improve public health and the overall care experience while reducing costs.

We accomplish this through education, outreach, data analysis, cutting-edge technology, and marketing/communications services provided by a staff of over 300 employees.

At the forefront of healthcare reform and practice transformation, AFMC has over 50 years of experience offering innovative solutions for private, state, and federal entities.

Mission/Vision

With our HEART values guiding our work, we reach out to assist you, as teachers, in staying healthy and well amid the difficult, essential work of teaching.  We recognize your vital role as role models for youth. Your wellness must be a priority. Healthy teachers make healthy learners.

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging

Built on the foundation of our mission and vision are principles — equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging (EDIB) — through which we seek to achieve excellence while fostering a culture where everyone can thrive. AFMC is dedicated to nurturing this culture and has created an employee-led EDIB committee to steer these efforts.

The HEART of AFMC

Our employees are our greatest asset. At the HEART of AFMC are five key professional standards that serve as a daily reminder to our employees of the ethical responsibilities we uphold in all we do:HEART Values

  • Honesty — being truthful, open, trustworthy, sincere, and fair
  • Excellence — consistently surpassing expectations by going beyond standards in our professional ethics, behavior, and work; possessing knowledge to be experts in our work
  • Accountability — being fully responsible for everything we do
  • Respect — showing honor and esteem for each other by being considerate and courteous
  • Teamwork — demonstrating unity by willingly cooperating and collaborating with each other to reach our common goals; building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients
